PUBLIC HEARING ON THE JETTY RAMP THIS THURSDAY, MAY 16!!
The Granada Community Services District (GCSD) is having a meeting this coming Thursday, May 16, during which they will discuss the future of the Jetty Ramp. We're hoping to pack the room with people who believe the ramp should not be destroyed.
The public portion of the meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at the district's meeting room:
504 Alhambra, Third Floor
El Granada, CA 94018
Please be there if you can.
Some back story: The ramp currently sits on CalTrans property, just seaward of acreage owned by the GCSD. Word came down from CalTrans officials a few weeks ago that they plan to demolish the ramp unless it's moved off their property. As a result, the district board has put the ramp on its agenda for this Thursday's meeting.
We're hoping to persuade the board members to give the ramp their formal blessing — and a permanent home. If you can make the meeting and would like to address the board, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We're organizing a strategy session for Thursday afternoon, before the meeting, during which we hope to assemble a lineup of speakers.
